Chapter Plans & Annual Report
The chapter plan is intended to focus the chapter’s attention and efforts on what needs to be accomplished in the academic year and how to achieve those goals. The chapter plan is designed to assist chapter leadership and members in developing their chapter goals and the strategies that will be used to achieve those goals. Keep in mind that the annual report is judged according to the evaluation and achievement of objectives as stated in the chapter plan. A successful plan clearly defines the chapter’s strengths and weaknesses, and how the chapter plans to overcome and/or take advantage of these.
The annual report helps focus the chapter’s attention on what was accomplished in the academic year. It summarizes the impact of those efforts.
Submission of both the Collegiate Chapter Plan and Collegiate Annual Report are required of all affiliated AMA collegiate chapters, regardless if your chapter is competing for awards. The report and plan form the basis for the judging of the annual awards program. The annual report must be submitted annually at the beginning of the Spring semester (usually mid-February).
